Media as in Medium - heftier than a microblog like Twitter - slimmer than a full blog
Media as in a nice place to share stoopid videos

I think you'll find you can do a lot with vox... you're not limited to one attachment like on pownce (at least on the free account I was using on pownce didn't allow more than one attachment).
